Vagus Nerve Somato Emotional Release

You’ve been in an auto accident and your body doesn’t seem to be healing the way you want.

You live away from family and friends and feel disconnected from everyone around you.

Your job is causing you near constant stress and body pain.

You’re trying to heal from grief.

You’re having trouble connecting to your body.

You had what you consider a minor fall and yet your body can’t seem to recover.

No matter how “simple” we see our accidents, stress, disconnects and grief, nothing seems to work. That’s because our trauma & our Vagus Nerve are over-reacting and throwing us a curve ball. The Vagus Nerve controls everything from breathing, blood pressure, kidney and digestive function to heart and endocrine glands. It is a Parasympathetic Nervous System Nerve beginning in the Brain Stem.

This is a hands on approach to body-oriented healing. Through light touch you will learn how the body stores trauma and how through introspection, it restores a sense of balance, by nurturing growth. You will learn that the causes of trauma are less important. What is crucial is how it manifests in the body.

My training was with a long-term Upledger Institute Instructor (over 30 years) Janet Evergreen. It is based on the work by Kathy Kain, PhD (Nurturing Resilience) , Peter Levine (Waking the Tiger) and Stephen Borges work on Polyvagal Theory and the Appropriate Use of Touch. The three part - six-week classes were 3 hours long and broken into Parts I, II, & III. I am certified in all. I work by myself and in conjunction with PhDs, other psychotherapists and MDs. It is billable to Insurance.

This work has changed my body & my life in dynamic ways. I invite you to a free 30 minute session to begin to heal yours and bring back your vitality.
